Safe Load Program (SLP)
Our SLP (Safe Load Program), (formerly AIP) course will provide you with your driver passport which is required to gain fuel terminal access, should you be looking at trying to gain employment within the fuel industry as a bulk dangerous goods driver (fuel tanker driver).
Your SLP will allow you to gain access to transport bulk dangerous goods out of fuel terminals such as BP, Shell (Viva), Caltex and various independents.
Our SLP course covers such things as, identify and classify dangerous goods, load and unload dangerous goods, apply occupational health and safety guidelines, control of ignition sources, dangerous goods handling and fire risk management.
This course is delivered face to face in a classroom environment. Upon successful completion, we will approve your face to face training with SLP. You will then be required to attend an SLP approved terminal to finalise your online assessment, your final approval will then be forwarded to SLP. SLP will then post your access card, usually within 7 days.
There is no one better in the industry to gain your SLP accreditation from. Andrew has been driving bulk fuel tankers Australia wide, on and off for the last 20 years and still drives bulk fuel tankers to maintain industry currency. Ask the other providers how current they are in the industry???
Smiths Training Services do not have set course dates. Our courses are delivered any day of the week to suit the client’s availability, we will even deliver our services one on one.
