I have been in Transport for over 40 years, the last 3 years as Operation Manager for Toll Liquids, in Brisbane. All our drivers are required to undergo Dangerous Goods courses and pass a Basic Fitness Management course, as part of their employment. I had used other training Companies previously, until I located Andrew Smith from Smiths Training Services. Because of our operations require different rosters, I found it difficult to maintain the training to the driver group. Andrew was approached and a training schedule was implemented, enabling all of our drivers to be trained. All drivers are also required to attend Dangerous Goods courses on a yearly or 3 yearly interval, depending on their age, in which Smiths Training Services are used. On numerous occasions, I have had to call Andrew to seek clarification on regulations that I may not be 100% sure of, Andrews approach, knowledge and assistant has been exemplary.
